Big & easy

How much detail?

Broad body, face, hair or clothing shapes dominate; eyes and a few smaller accents need a narrower tip. About the labels.

Color the broad body first, then give the shell one contrasting accent.

A small coloring tip

Crayons or broad markers suit the larger spaces. A pencil helps with smaller facial, leaf or outline details.

Invent a personal palette. These imaginative illustrations are for creative coloring; prehistoric scenes and the fossil display are not scientific anatomy references.
