Music & Instrument Coloring Pages

Separate wood, metal and fabric with your coloring marks.

For a wooden guitar or violin, lay down a light base and draw a few longer strokes in the direction of the body. Keep the center a little lighter if you want a gentle shine. For the trumpet or saxophone, leave a narrow white strip along part of a broad tube or bell, then use a deeper shade beside it. These effects are optional coloring choices; a pink violin or blue trumpet is welcome.

In the performer scenes, choose the instrument color first and give the clothes a different lightness so the hands and instrument remain easy to see. On the drum kit, repeat a shell color across the separate drums instead of assigning every piece a new shade. The online studio fills the enclosed spaces already drawn; added wood grain, gradients and clothing patterns work on a printed page.

Try a small project
