Space Coloring Pages — Rockets & Astronauts

Launch a rocket, meet an astronaut or invent a little home on another world. These are storybook space adventures; planets, distances and equipment are not scientific scale diagrams.

Choose the kind of coloring you want.

An astronaut character

An open suit silhouette leaves room for a personal mission color. Keep the visor and suit different enough to read clearly.

An imagined home

A small habitat turns a planet surface into a place for a story. Choose a strong door or window accent and quieter ground colors.

On paper, leave a narrow pale area around a star or rocket flame, then make the surrounding sky darker. Start lightly so you can decide how much contrast you want. A white sky is also a complete choice, especially when printing several pages for a group.

Repeat one mission color across the rocket and astronaut pages. Use a second color for windows or equipment, then give the planet surface a contrasting family of colors. Online filling uses the existing enclosed regions; pencil gradients and added stars are options for the printed page.

Try a small project

Choose a launch page and a habitat page. Color them as two moments in the same journey, then add a separate drawing of something the travelers discovered.
